                            Sanju is a 2018 biographical movie based on the life of bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. This film is produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and co-written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in lead role playing Sanjay Dutt. Along with film also features Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Sonam Kapoor, and Boman Irani in supporting roles. This movie was loved by the audience and became all time blockbuster at the Indian Box office by collecting 334.57 crores nett in India and 578.44 Worldwide and went to become highest grossing film of year 2018. 1. DIRECTOR DID NOT BELIEVE  SANJAY DUTT'S STORY :-

                                             Director Rajkumar Hirani did not wanted to make this film based on the life of sanjay dutt as he was planning for a new film on Munna Bhai series but Sanjay dutt's wife asked Rajkumar Hirani to make a film on life of Sanjay Dutt. After that director and his co-writer Abhijat Joshi went to Sanjay's house and Sanjay told them his story. The director could not believe his story and then they started verifying his story by meeting his close friends, family and colleagues. After verifying his stories they found his stories were true. They found the story very interesting and started making film on his life.

                                                

2. ANUSHKA'S CHARACTER WAS NOT REAL :-

                                               As the film is based on life of Sanjay Dutt and the characters shown in the film are true but the character of writer Winnie Diaz played by Anushka Sharma in the film is fictional  character created by the director. Which is based on director Rajkumar Hirani and co-writer Abhijat Joshi. 

                                                      

3. RANBIR KAPOOR WAS NOT THE FIRST CHOICE OF PRODUCER :-

                                                Ranbir Kapoor has portrayed beautifully the character of Sanjay Dutt in the film but he was not the first choice of producer. Producer of the film Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted to cast Ranveer Singh in the lead role Playing Sanjay Dutt but director Rajkumar wanted Ranbir Kapoor as Ranbir would look as young Sanjay Dutt. Afterall Rajkumar Hirani convinced the producer to cast Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role and the we all know.

                                             

4. BOMAN IRANI'S TWO CHARACTERS :-

                                                  There was a good ensemble cast in the film and in that Boman Irani was playing the role of Sanjay Dutt's girlfriend Ruby's father shown in the first half of the film. I know you all know this but he can be seen in the second half as well. He can be seen during the scene of Munna Bhai MBBS movie which become one of the famous scene from the film.

5. HIDING SANJAY'S MARRIAGES :-

                                                    In the film Dia Mirza is seen playing the role of Sanju's Wife Manyata Dutt but Sanjay had  two wives before Manyata. In the movie they have shown Sanju's third wife but have not shown his two wives Richa Sharma and Rhea Pillai. Only his third wife can be seen in the film.
